This yarn winder works great! The only reason it's four stars instead of 5 is that it's a little bit noisy and somewhat finicky to set up.
There were no instructions on how to set it up with the package. However, I found a great YouTube video by "thesweaterguy" that walks you through it. The instructions that came with the machine as to how to use it were fine. I've been fully satisfied with each cone I have wound up to and including worsted-weight wool. I have not used it for thicker yet. I sometimes have to adjust the angle of the way the cone sits on the winder drum before winding. It could be because I can't tighten it enough myself.
